When can I book a room at Kinship Landing?
Might we suggest signing up for our occasionally-sent-never-obnoxious email newsletter? You'll be the first to know about booking, events, special discounts and more.
And if you're looking to book an event or group travel, fill out this short form to get the ball rolling! Or, you can send an email to email@example.com and we'll help you with any questions you have.
Where are you located?
Kinship Landing is a locally-owned, boutique hotel located in the heart of Downtown Colorado Springs, steps from the center of the city, restaurants, culture, trail access, and outdoor recreation.
If you're here for the outdoors, you'll love easy access and proximity to all the natural attractions (and a group of people who would love to share their knowledge and enthusiastic recommendations with you!)
If you're more of an urban explorer, you've found the perfect place right in the downtown mix. We're literal steps from our favorite coffee and food, restaurants, shopping, and art. We'll show you all our favorite places!
What is the parking and dropoff situation at Kinship Landing?
We have our own onsite parking at Kinship Landing! Our parking lot is located on the east (away from the mountains) side of the hotel, and there is a fee for onsite parking.
For overnight guests, please drop off, park, and enter the property from the East via the alley that runs North to South of the property by turning off of Costilla or Cimarron into the alley. A 24-hour parking fee is automatically applied to every reservation for each night booked. If you will not be parking on site, you may opt out of this fee when booking a stay or by contacting us directly at 719-203-9309 or firstname.lastname@example.org. There are street and city garage parking options nearby. On site parking is limited to one space per room unless occupancies allow otherwise. Parking on site for a fee is available on a first-come-first-serve basis with hotel guests given first option.
Can I bring my dogs?
Absolutely, we love to host furry friends. We've got designated rooms and corridors that are ready for all four paws. You'll want to review our pet policy and be sure to book a room marked "Pet Friendly" when you make your reservation.
What's up with the shared bunkhouse rooms?
We get asked this question a lot because it's a more unique concept to have a boutique hotel that pairs both private and shared rooms. (What can we say, we like to be different.)
Part of our conviction for building Kinship was to offer a clean, comfortable, and affordable lodging option in Colorado Springs that both met our standards of excellence for design and function, as well as provided the chance for guests to preserve hard-earned cash for creating epic memories in the area.
We saw this done incredibly well during our travels around the world staying in AirBnB's, hostels, resorts, hotels, and guesthouses. We've have taken the best features of many different models and incorporated them into one property, including our bunkhouse rooms. Details like in-room lockers with built-in charging ports and custom designed and built beds make our shared bunkhouse rooms a stylish, modern experience for a fraction of the cost.
If you have never stayed in a shared bunkhouse room before, it's actually kinda great, and a new way to meet people. Our bunkhouses are safe, clean, functional, design-forward, and super comfy. We even have ADA and a female-only dorm room if that is your preference.
A quick note before booking a bed in our bunkrooms right now -- Obviously, we're making sure all of our lodging options adhere to the most up-to-date COVID protocols, so this lodging option will only be available when it is safe to offer it.
What amenities are included with my room?
You may notice we don't offer the trendy amenities for hotels -- no in-room hot goat yoga, a spa with cucumbers included, extra fast treadmills, or a triple-high-dive waterslide. Love those things, we just don't have 'em here by design.
Our aim is to get you out the door to explore and enjoy the very best of our region, rather than try and keep you on site. So, we partner with a lot of amazing people nearby and let the pros do what they do best, while we stick to being great hosts, connecters, and offering an inspiring and comfortable place to lay your head.
That being said, we've curated amenities that we've loved the most from all our travels around the world. A few unique Kinship things we think you'll enjoy: Homa, our first-floor bar and cafe, a room for your adventure gear, a lush light-and-plant-filled Greenhaus event space, lockers for all your gear, custom built-in wood furniture in each room, locally sourced art and boutique decor in each room and several different unique lodging options. Check out our rooms here.
Are kids included in room occupancy?
With the exception of bunkrooms, room bookings include two children under age two. Let us know if we can help you out with cribs, playground and kid-approved activity recommendations, or some good, strong coffee in the morning (parenting on vacation, amiright?).
Here are a few suggestions for family-friendly vacation room options:
Double Queen Balcony Suite
Two beds + some fresh air on your own balcony.
Mountain Queen Balcony Suite
Queen bed, two trundles, and a mountain view from your own balcony.
Big family, big fun! Reserve the 8-bed bunkroom for your family.
Jr. Queen + Bunk Suite
A fun lofted bed over the main queen.
Can I see the mountains from Kinship Landing?
Oh, can you! You definitely won't need a telescope to see Pike's Peak, Mt. Rosa or Cheyenne Mountain from your room. I remember when my cousin first saw the Rocky Mountains when visiting from out of state -- 100 miles east of here.
At Kinship, you are literally minutes to the front range of the Rocky Mountains and so close you can see the shadows on the ridgelines. The mountain views are epic, and 14,115' Pikes Peak (dubbed America's Mountain for inspiring the song "America the Beautiful") is front and center.
Pro tip: Choose a Mountain View room when booking so you can take in the famous watercolor Colorado sunsets from your bed, not just our first floor. You won't regret it.
Can I have a wedding at Kinship Landing?
Sure! If you are looking for a more intimate ceremony, we would be honored to host you for the start of one of the best adventures out there -- getting hitched! But to be honest, we know some pretty spectacular venues just minutes away. What we really love is being your everything-around-the-ceremony hub. Guest lodging, rehearsal dinners, receptions, itinerary building for the wedding party and more resources we got up our sleeves make for a real good time when hosted at Kinship Landing.
Our lush, light-and-plant-filled Greenhaus event space is a truly inspiring backdrop for your special event, and we've got room discounts for groups, catering options and we can also connect you with all our favorite creative wedding partners if you need any recommendations. Email us at email@example.com and we'll chat!
Can I host an event at Kinship Landing?
Absolutely. Kinship loves to host events of all kinds, grand and cozy. Heck, you can even rent out our whole hotel! Check out our events page for more info and email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and one of our friendly crew will help you book your future event.
Do you have ADA room options?
Oh yeah! We want everyone to land comfortably with us, so making our hotel ADA friendly was a top priority from the beginning. We've consulted with Olympic athletes, state representatives, and good pals to offer an ADA option for each room type as well as ADA accessibility in the first-floor layout and design. And we are always open to improving the ADA experience, so please let us know what we can to make your booking and staying experience great.
See our COVID PAGE for more detail. Our staff and guests are like family to us, and we are committed to keeping you safe, clean, and healthy while you explore Colorado Springs. In light of COVID-19, a few of the ways we've upped our already high standards to intentionally design our hotel to be even safer are:
- Offering fully contactless check in.
- Fresh, clean air in each guestroom with zero cross venitlation.
- Socially distanced common areas, including extra wide hallways.
- Enhanced cleaning of rooms and public areas.
- Hand sanitizer stations thoughout.
- Mask wearing requirements.
- Flexible trip deferral and cancellation policies.
